When you are working your abs, you want to make sure you are working all of your abs.
During these exercises, pay attention to your breathing and make sure you are going through the full range of motion. Exhale when you contract, and breathe when you stretch.
Exercise #1… LYING LEG RAISE with HEELS TO THE HEAVENS.
Exercise #2… HEEL TAPS. Keep your upper back up for the whole exercise to keep the tension in your abs.
Exercise #3… ELBOW PLANK WITH REACH. Reaching creates more tension in the transverse abdominis.
Exercise #4… SIDE PLANK REACH THROUGHS. This creates isometric contracts, and is really going to work your obliques.
You want to do these exercises as a GIANT SET. Do these exercises back-to back-to-back without any rest. At the end of the giant set, rest 60 seconds then start again.
Depending on where your fitness level is, aim between 2-5 supersets, with 15-20 reps for each exercise.
