Coach Chris Wilson at the Critical Bench COMPOUND absolutely loves training with dumbbells and these are 7 of his go to exercises for maintaining a strong physique year round.

You can do all 7 of these exercises in one workout, performing 2-3 sets each for 8-12 reps. But if you’d rather focus just on upper or lower body, feel free to do only some of them and perform more sets and vary the rep ranges.

Remember, heavier weights can be done for less reps for more STRENGTH focus
Lighter to moderate weights can be done for 8-12 reps or more for more hypertrophy focus which means muscular size. Blending these two approaches is what Coach Chris recommends to provide both size and strength gains.
